CRC Leadership

The 2007-2008 Academic year brings many changes to the CRC. First, the Neighborhood Resource Coordinators (NRC’s) have become CRC Interns. Second, the executive board has become the Core Leadership Team. Instead of having an executive board in which each member is responsible for his or her own leadership tasks, the Core shares responsibility of all tasks. This benefits the CRC because various ideas and perspectives are shared before decisions are made. The Core consists of four individuals who function as the face of the CRC: one City and one University affiliated representative, one community member, one student (CRC Intern). The Core reports to the CRC Board. Some of the responsibilities of the Core are:

- Provide leadership to CRC Board
- Communication
- Public relations
- the “face” of the CRC
- Board meeting facilitation and agenda setting
- Forum/event support
- Oversee finances and administration, including paid staff members
- Report to Board
- Generate ideas
- Outreach/membership
- Make things happen!

The Core team meets monthly. To find out the date of the next Core meeting, e-mail crc@msu.edu. All are welcome to attend the meetings.
